Singer Pur SINGER PUR Il complesso viene fondato da cinque membri delle voci bianche “Regensburger Domspatzen” nel 1991, a cui si aggiunge successivamente un soprano, con l’intento di proporre musica a cappella. Nel 1994 il sestetto vince il primo premio nel “Deutscher Musikwettwerb” e l’anno seguente riceve il “Gran Prix” per complessi vocali al Festival internazionale di musica di Tampere in Finlandia, che secondo la stampa gli permette di farsi conoscere come il più promettente gruppo vocale in lingua tedesca. Subito dopo, infatti, iniziano le apparizioni in televisione e radio, registrazioni di cd e inviti a festival in più di 60 paesi, concretizzando la loro carriera internazionale. Il suo repertorio non prevede limitazioni di genere. Si passa dalla musica medievale alla musica avanguardista, con un insieme di nuove composizioni e arrangiamenti realizzati appositamente per loro. Il sestetto collabora con diversi musicisti e compositori, tra cui il compositore e clarinettista jazz Michael Riessler, il clarinettista David Orlowsky e anche la RundfunkSinfonieorchester Berlin. La sua discografia comprende più di 20 cd, con premi come “Le Choque de l’année” dalla rivista francese “Il mondo della Musica” e “ECHO Klassik”, considerato il riconoscimento più prestigioso per un cd in Europa. Oltre a questi premi discografici, il sestetto vanta anche premi come complesso vocale, come il Premio della Cultura della città di Ratisbona, e il premio dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Baviera. Da anni il complesso appoggia giovani musicisti, partecipando a laboratori internazionali dell’Associazione Corale Europea - Europa Cantat, la quale nel 2015 conferisce al complesso il titolo di “Ambasciatori degli amici della Musica Corale Europea”. Nel 2016 partecipa per la prima volta alla “Settimana di Musica religiosa di Cuenca” insieme all’Ensemble Musikfabrik, interpretando “Vigilia” di Wolfgang Rihm, un’opera composta appositamente per il sestetto. Per festeggiare i 25 anni dal loro debutto, nel 2017 oltre ad un concerto a Monaco, realizzando un cd con i loro maggiori successi “The Best of Singer Pur”. SINGER PUR The ensemble was founded by five members of the “Regensburger Domspatzen” white voices in 1991, to which a soprano is subsequently added, with the intention of proposing a cappella music. In 1994 the sextet won the first prize at the “Deutscher Musikwettwerb” and the next year received the “Gran Prix” for vocal ensembles at the international Tampere Music Festival in Finland, and was launched on its road to becoming the Germany's leading vocal group. Soon television and radio appearances, CD recordings, invitations to major festivals and concerts in almost 60 countries established an international career. There are no stylistic limitations to Singer Pur’s repertoire. Its programmes include anything performable by voices from medieval times to the avant-garde, a host of new compositions and arrangements written for the group. The sextet collaborates with several musicians and composers, including the jazz composer and clarinetist Michael Riessler, clarinetist David Orlowsky and also the RundfunkSinfonieorchester Berlin. The Singer Pur discography consists of 25 CDs, several of which have received awards: two of them "Le Choc de l’Année" by the French music magazine "Le Monde de la Musique" and three more the ECHO Klassik Award, considered the most prestigious classical music CD award in Europe. In 2008 the City of Regensburg bestowed its Cultural Award on Singer Pur, in 2013 followed the Bavarian State Prize for Music, in 2014 the Fritz-Goller-Award and the Friedrich-Baur-Award of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts. For many years, the group has supported young musicians participating to international workshops organized by the European Choral Association - Europa Cantat, which in 2015 rewarded the sextet with the title “Ambassadors for the Friends of Choral Music in Europe”. In 2016 they participated for the first time in the "Week of Religious Music of Cuenca" together at the Ensemble Musikfabrik, interpreting Wolfgang Rihm's “Vigilia”, a composed opera specifically for the sextet. To celebrate 25 years since their debut, in 2017 in addition to a concert in Munich, creating a cd with their greatest hits "The Best of Singer Pur”.
